Manu Luksch (Vienna / London) is an award-winning film director and artist whose practice interrogates conceptions of progress with a strong emphasis on research, interdisciplinary collaboration. A major focus of Manu’s work was data surveillance, and more recently, the rise of the ‘Algorithmic City’ with a focus on corporate-governmental relationships and the social effects of predictive analytics.
Her work is included in international collections such as the Centre Pompidou, Paris, and the BFI National Archive, London. Manu is currently Resident Artist at Birkbeck’s School of Law, University of London and Somerset House Studios. She studied fine arts at the Akademie der bildenden Künste, Vienna, and Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok.
